Father and son

Too day we so the movie “Father and Son” that is a story about the relationship between a father and his son. They live in Belfast, in a neighbourhood with a lot of violence. Both the son and the father are scared to sleep at night, but the son will not admit his fears to his father. The father is concerned for his son’s life. They used to have a good relationship. They did went fishing, talke and laughed, and the father could put his arms around his son. The son went to London and got mixed up with drugs, an with wrong people. The father tried to help him out of it, so he culd come back to the normal life. They went too prison and there is where the story takes place.
I think this was a good film, but was slightly slow start on the movie.

I believe that the pledge of the allegiance should be removed from schools. those who must listen to this are young students. Politics and religion should not be part of the school.Politics and religion shouldn’t be a part of the classroom, particularly if it isn’t related to any subject, like social studies.

Author

John Ernst Steinbeck was born 27 February 1902 in Salinas in the United States, was one of the leading American writers of the 20th century. He received the Nobel Prize in literature in 1962.
Steinbeck graduated at Salinas High School in 1919, and was from 1919-1925 student at Stanford University, without having to take any exam. 1920-year was characterized by the spread jobs and random journalist jobs. His first three books have stirred little attention, and he struck first with Dagdrivergjengen (1935).

There are conflicting perceptions of the Steinbeck literary value and relevance. Some consider him as a political agitator, and that his works are thus linked to a period in American history.

For some readers, he is first and foremost a romantic, which allows sentimental considerations interfere with the epic, ethical and aesthetic qualities of their books.

Of Mice and men

The book mice and men is about the friendship between two migrant agricultural labourers, Georg Milton and Lennie Small.

They are working on different ranches, don’t have any family, and they are lonely, but they have each other. They have the same dream, a small ranch of their own.
The story start when George and Lennie rest by the river, on their way to a new ranch, where they expect to sign up for temporary work. They have just left a job, because of Lennie how was accused of of attemted rape. Lennie likes too stroke nice thing, and therefore is he always get in trouble.

Lennie is a big man, but the brain/mine of a young child. He as always get inn trouble, but never because of meanness.

George is a short men, intelligent and a big self- confidence. He is always taking care and look after Lennie. He always stands up for Lennie and protect him of himself and others.

The day they arrive too the ranch , they get some palce too sleep, the bunk- house ( the house where the workers live). They meet some other caracters, Candy, Curley and his wife.
Candy is an old man with only one hand, Curley is the boss`son, how don’t like that George will not let Lennie speak up fore him self. Curleys young wife is a lonely person how just married Curley in an attempt to escape from her miserable life with her mother.

Slim is the foreman. He is very much liked and respect by the other workers, an is very friendly against George and Lennie.

The strongest/best sentence I have read so fare is:

”Guys like us, that work on ranches are the loneliest guys in the world. They got no family. They don’t belong no place… With us it ain’t like that. We got a future… because I got you to look after me, and you got me to look after you”
